2025 GMC Acadia
The 2025 GMC Acadia brings big changes to this popular midsize SUV, now rolling into its third generation with a striking new look. Bigger, bolder, and more capable than before, the latest Acadia blends rugged utility with thoughtful luxury touches. Its completely reworked design commands attention, while the roomier interior gives families and weekend warriors the space they've been asking for.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
For 2025, the GMC Acadia comes in three trim levels: the Elevation, AT4, and Denali. The redesigned SUV is now 198.5 inches long — over 10 inches longer than before — and is also wider and taller, creating a stronger road presence.
The Elevation features 18-inch dark gray wheels and a hands-free power liftgate, while the AT4 stands out with all-terrain tires on 18-inch machined aluminum wheels. It also features front recovery hooks, a high-approach fascia, a steel skid plate, and off-road suspension with hydraulic rebound control for serious capability. For ultimate style, the top-tier Denali boasts a signature grille and animated LED lighting. All models share C-shaped LED lights for a bold look.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of all 2025 Acadia models, you'll find the same gutsy 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This powerplant cranks out 328 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a hearty 326 pound-feet of torque at just 3,500 rpm. It's paired with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission that makes the most of that power, whether you're merging onto highways or climbing steep slopes.
This setup gives the Acadia plenty of muscle to handle its larger dimensions without feeling sluggish. Front-wheel drive comes standard on both the Elevation and Denali, with all-wheel drive available if you want extra traction. The AT4 gets all-wheel drive right out of the gate, making it a solid companion for off-roaders.
Performance
The 2025 Acadia delivers impressive acceleration, racing from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 to 6.7 seconds with a top speed between 118 and 130 mph. When equipped with the Trailering Package, all models can tow up to 5,000 pounds — perfect for boats, campers, or ATVs. With seven available drive modes, you can customize performance for any situation — from sporty handling on curvy roads to confident control in snow.
The Active Torque Control AWD system, standard on the AT4 and optional on other trims, continuously adjusts power distribution for confident driving in challenging conditions. The AT4's specialized suspension and extra ground clearance tackle trails that would stop other SUVs in their tracks.
Interior
The new Acadia offers impressive cargo capacity: 23 cubic feet behind the third row, 57.3 cubic feet behind the second row, and 97.5 cubic feet with both rear rows folded. The Elevation seats eight with a second-row bench, while the AT4 and Denali versions feature seven-passenger seating with second-row captain's chairs for added comfort.
The cabin showcases a 15-inch premium GMC infotainment system and 11-inch digital driver display. The Denali adds leather-appointed first- and second-row seats plus heated and ventilated front seats. An optional panoramic sunroof floods the interior with natural light.
Safety Features
The 2025 Acadia features over 15 safety technologies. All models include forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control for everyday protection.
Optional Super Cruise enables hands-free driving on compatible highways, while HD Surround Vision, an 8-inch head-up display, and a rear camera mirror add convenience. Parents will appreciate the GM Teen Driver system, which lets them set limits and monitor driving habits.
